Hello Friend and Happy Holidaze to you.
I recorded some Christmas songs live in 2025 and put them on cassette tape, did some art work for the insert, wrote up a letter to go with it, and included a cassette player if they didn’t have one. I gifted these to a few friends local to me but this is going to become a thing for sure.

This is a collaboration project from our family to yours. You might be asking yourself, why the cassette tape… Didn’t society decide those things weren’t useful anymore. Sure we did. But nostalgia is a thing. We invite you back to the experience if you’d like. Crack open the cassette tape, do you remember how it felt in your hands, do you recall the smell of the tape itself and how you would place it with care in the tray of your cassette player, hit the play button, put your headphones on and disappear into a world where you would just listen and experience, not just listen while you were doing the dishes or making breakfast for the kids – there’s a place for all that too, but i invite you to the experience of slow listening. Not just to this music, but to any.
Speaking of the music, what’s on this thing? Well, Side 1 and 2 is Steve singing and playing a few Christmas tunes. All of these are live off the floor recordings, they will have mistakes, I am not perfect! This is because Steve can’t be trusted to finish recordings with more than 2 channels. 🙂

This page was written Jan 11 2026, the project was conceived and recordings started in November of 2025. I will not put this on Spotify or on any online music streaming service aside from YouTube. If it shows up on those platforms, this is my prior art and I will be asking them to take it down.
I am opting out of the music distribution system of today. It does not compensate the artist fairly and the music is run through AI to train artists out of existence. I’d rather you enjoy it copy it on cassette and CD, share with your friends, and tip me if you have the means from time to time.
