Beermas 2021-2022 Day 9 – Old Yale Brewing – Gin Fizz Citrus Sour

Old Yale Brewing makes some great beer.  Today I am sampling the Gin Fizz Citrus Sour.  I’m not a sour beer expert but I know there are sour beers like lambic and gose, I’m not sure if this is a particular kind of sour and I don’t see that on the bottle so let’s just throw caution to the wind and open it up.  The beer pours with minimal head and mild carbonation.  It’s quite light in colour actually which is interesting.  Checking the aroma the title of the beer says it all, I’m catching the citrus and sour.  Tasting it now I am catching what might be gin or ginger, citrus and it’s very sour on the finish.  I know in the audio review I said I wasn’t quite sure how I felt about it but it’s quite refreshing and it’s actually growing on me as I make my way through it.  Very interesting beer indeed.  Cheers and see you on day 10!
