Beermas 2013-2014 – Day 02 – Delirium Tremens – Brouwerij Huyghe

Welcome to Day 02.  Today’s brew:  Delirium Tremens.

I have to admit to having this beer before however only on tap.  I’m having it again Today because I want to see how that experience translates to a bottle at home.

Speaking of the bottle, let’s take a look at it.  It’s stoneware white with black flecks and blue decorative labeling.   The bottle size is 350ml and the alc. vol is 8.5%.

Let’s give it a pour…  Woah! Watch out for massive head.  I mean it – seriously.  Even if you tip your glass you could be in trouble – it’s very effervescent.   The beer’s colouring is light blond.

The aroma is both fruity and peppery.

The Verdict: This beer is light, effervescent, fruity and spicy.  All in all a very tasty beer.   Sure, it’s better on tap than in the bottle but still very much worth the purchase.   I would buy this beer again any day.
